Incubator Project at The Belfry Theatre

Open Pit Theatre just spent a week in Victoria, BC at The Belfry Theatre developing a new work currently called Mary Marry.  Ten local performers participated in a week long development workshop where we explored the relationship between family history, verbatim text, and ensemble physicality.  Over the next six months more interviews will be collected, and the material generated during the workshop will be incorporated into the script. 

Open Pit Theatre is based in Whitehorse, Yukon on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. We are honoured to devise, rehearse, and perform on these lands.
