Nowhere Near

Six strangers survive a bus crash in northern Canada. Their world has exploded all over the highway, and they must try to survive. 

In 2011, Jessica Hickman and Sam Bergmann-Good formed the Devised Yukon Project Collective - an ad hoc collective of six artists from across Canada who spent eight weeks in Whitehorse training, creating, and collaborating on a new show. The result was a work-in-progress sharing of Nowhere Near at The Yukon Art Centre (studio theatre) from August 19 -20, 2011.

Open Pit Theatre is based in Whitehorse, Yukon on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. We are honoured to devise, rehearse, and perform on these lands.
